Tannadice Farms pork is the finest available. The pigs are born and raised on the farm. They are fed high quality grain and spend their lives in naturally lit, well-ventilated buildings. Access is restricted to reduce the risk of disease. The pigs are not given medicated feed. The meat is lean, tasty and exceptionally healthy. |
Tannadice Farms is very proud of it's "High-Health" swine herd. This unique "high-health" system means the farm uses no growth stimulants, hormones or medicated feeds. "High-Health" also means that the barns are routinely power-washed and cleaned. New breeding stock comes from one farm in Saskatchewan to minimize introduction of disease. Routine veterinarian checks are done to ensure that our "High-Health" status is being maintained. Our pigs are raised in naturally ventilated barns, with the majority of the pigs living in a greenhouse type barn. Our greenhouse barn is excellent for raising healthy pigs for not only does it allow plenty of sunlight and fresh air but gives all the pigs a mattress of sawdust to run, play and sleep on. Tannadice Farm is committed to quality: our breeding stock is selected for its leaness in order to give our customers a lean yet tasty selection of product. The ration is purchased from a large feed mill that has extremely rigorous quality control standards (HACCP). Tannadice Farms takes pride in how our pork is raised and we are confident that you, our customer, will enjoy the results!!
